Welcome to episode number two in a series of 11, focusing on the mistakes we as female business leaders make that then prevent us from generating strong revenue.  Why can’t we move our businesses over a million dollars in the world of business, especially in the United States, with 40% of those businesses being owned by women? Why is it that only 1.2% of those same businesses earn over a million dollars? Today we are going to talk about the perfectionism mistake.

Remember that throughout this series we are going to be looking within ourselves and asking, what are we doing to hold ourselves back? What decisions are we making that aren’t helping us? And we’ve got to eliminate those.  So today we are going to eliminate the desire to be perfect.

Perfectionism, as you know, is when we simply think that we have to have everything just right, in order to be able to move forward.  In this episode, we go through an example of how a to-do list continues to grow because we simply have to make the work perfect. Or, we think we can’t delegate to any else because we should “own” those functions both in the business and in our homes, no one else knows how to do this but me, or I can’t afford to pay for help with these other pieces.

Are you telling yourself those “reasons” to justify why you won’t let go of the work or because you want to ensure it is 100% perfect before you let it go?  Are you sabotaging yourself and your business success with this mindset?  If the answer is yes, this is one of the reasons why your business isn’t generating the revenue it is capable of generating.

I want you to look in the mirror and change your mindset to, “Please, replace me!”  Shift from a perspective that you have to own it all to the idea that you want to be replaced on all tasks but those that only you can do.

Be Legendary!
