It’s the end of October and you know what that means, you are going to blink and it’s going to be Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day all in a 2-second timespan. So here’s what I’m encouraging you to do today, plan your holiday time now.
If we aren’t aware of the time of year, not only will we lose time in our business, but we will lose time in our lives and in the lives of those who matter to us. So today, I want you to plan your holiday events and schedule your to-do’s. I’m not talking down to the hour, but I am talking about doing this for both personal and work time.
For work, how much time are you going to spend working in your business? Are you going to pull back? Do your KPI goals and financial goals align with that shift? Can you still deliver and pull back? How do you make it work? Note, I’m not telling you to not pull back. I want you to spend the time you want to spend. I simply don’t want you stressing about KPIs if you haven’t planned effectively. So here’s the deal, just plan. 😁
If you have employees, how are you supporting them? Do you have holidays off per your company policies or events that you can try to do virtually? Does your business metric plan support them being off as well?
From a personal perspective, how much time are you going to spend with family? Are you traveling or is anyone traveling to you? How will you make sure you are fully present, not missing a moment?
Plan it now. Commit to what matters to you. Make sure your time at work and time away align and that you don’t have unrealistic goals for the next two months that will cause you to miss out on the season with those who matter most to you. If you plan now, you will have plenty of time to prepare, in both areas of your life to ensure you deliver on the balance you want to achieve.
Be Legendary!
